Are you looking for Valentine’s or Family Day events in the West Shore? February 2024 is looking to be an event-packed month in the WestShore and Sooke!
First off, all of us at Eye Etiquette wish you and your family a Happy Lunar New Year. Family Day is coming up on Monday, February 19th, 2024. Both Eye Etiquette locations in Belmont Market and Millstream Village in Langford will be open on Saturday, February 17th. But we’ll be closed on the Family Day holiday on the 19th. Here’s a list of four local activities coming up this February 2024:
FOUR Family Friendly Sooke and WestShore Events
- ❤️ Lovers Lane Market – Sunday, February 11, 2024, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Meander on down to The Langford Station with your sweetheart or gal pals to join the 2nd annual Lovers Lane Market. There will be more than 45 vendors, live music, cocktails, and a selfie station for you to enjoy!
- 🏠 Free tours of Moss Cottage and Triangle Island Lighthouse – Saturday, February 17, 2024, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Bring your family to the oldest standing pioneer home west of Victoria! You’ll be greeted by the character of Matilda (“Aunt Tilly”) Gordon, raising her two children in 1902. Visitors to the Triangle Island Lighthouse (built in 1910) will hear stories of the lighthouses of Vancouver Island from historian Lanny Seaton.
- 🎸 Mister Mojo Family Day Concert – Sunday, February 18, 2024, 10:30 AM – 11:30 PM Enjoy a one-hour concert for kids ages 2-8 from Mister Mojo at the at Sooke Community Theatre. Mister Mojo is an award-winning singer/songwriter. Tickets for kids are $5 plus GST, and are FREE for their parents. You can purchase tickets by calling the EMCS offices at 250.642.6371
- 🌳 Family Fun Walk (Guided Walk) – All Ages – Sunday, February 18, 2024, 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM. Head over to Metchosin, Witty’s Lagoon Regional Park, and celebrate Family Day weekend with a CRD Regional Parks naturalist for fun and kid-friendly nature activities. Enjoy a walk or stroll in the park with your family. The meeting place is the main parking lot by Metchosin Road. The trail is approximately 1.2km; it is narrow with tree roots, steep and slight inclines, and a few staircases.
