There’s something for everyone to do this holiday season on the West Shore! Check out these festive and fun activities happening this December in the West Shore and Sooke:
Carousel in the Park
This year, enjoy three days of Carousel in the park at two different locations! While it’s free to ride the carousel, give back if you can by bringing a donation of non-perishable food items for the Goldstream Food Bank and/or make a donation to the South Island Primary Care Society using Tip Tap stations.

Langford’s most magical night is back—and it’s brighter than before! Holiday cheer, music, and more!
It’ll be a busy night at both locations, so try walking, biking, or using Langford’s free parking at The Langford Station and Claude Road. There will be crossing guards to help everyone cross the streets safely.

❤️ This year’s Langford Light Up at the Langford Station includes a Winter Market that supports the South Island Primary Care Society. The South Island Primary Care Society works to increase access to routine check-ups and the management of chronic illnesses in local communities such as Colwood, Esquimalt, Highlands, Langford, Metchosin, and beyond. You can also donate to the South Island Primary Care Society at the Tip Tap stations around the event.
Veterans Memorial Park Activities and Schedule
🌭 Free hot dogs, hot chocolate, and apple cider (while supplies last). There will also be crafts, balloon artists, princess visits, food trucks, local shops, and more!
🧺 Bring a non-perishable food item to help the Goldstream Food Bank.
1pm to 8pm Langford Carousel.
5:15pm to 7pm Get your photo with Santa in the Tinsel Gazebo. The reindeer get a night off, thanks to Langford Fire. Santa will be arriving by firetruck!

7:30pm The IEOA Truck Parade will drive through Langford around 7:30 PM with bright, beautifully decorated trucks.

All movie tickets are free and on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re able, please bring donations for the Goldstream Food Bank.
