We’ll be closed in observance of Remembrance Day on November 11.
On Remembrance Day, we acknowledge the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served and are still serving our country.
We must remember. If we do not, the sacrifice of those past and present will be meaningless. They served for us and for our existence as we know it today. It is important to remember all that has been done and is still being done to protect our nation and our freedom.
My family has a long history of serving our country. From my grandfather and five of his siblings serving overseas on the soil of Great Britain. To my Great Uncles fighting on the beaches of Normandy and to my husband who served Canada for 21 years in various peace keeping deployments around the world. Too many memories and traditions to mention, but a few pictures to tell a story are included. Taking a few minutes out of our day on November 11th not only helps us remember all they and so many others did for our country but it is the least we can do to show our respect.
