How much is an eye exam? I do not have any insurance coverage. I think it is time to replace my contacts as they are several years old. Also, I have a pair of glasses that I do not like the prescription on and would like them checked, and if necessary, have the lens replaced. Is this possible and what might be the cost?
Hello Roy,
The cost of a basic eye exam is $90, $130 when we are combining it with contact lenses as the exam is more involved. You can certainly use your existing frame and have new lenses replaced into the frame. If there are any issues with the frame we would try to point those out to you ahead of time to make sure we are not putting new lenses into a frame that is too old. The cost of replacement lenses really depends on your prescription and lens design. Once we have a prescription we could give you a better idea on price of lenses, but basic single vision start as low as $100 and go up from there.
Cheers!
